Celebrities reveal themselves postpartum, the honest truth

Many people expect a mother that has given birth to return to her sexy figure almost instantly. Because of this, there are many of those who have hidden their postpartum bodies out of shame. And to make their flabby tummies unnoticeable, they wear oversized shirts and just shy away from the camera. They only flaunt their bodies again after they have successfully gotten their shape back.

Many think that celebrity moms, since they have nannies to take care of their baby, can just focus on making their bodies awesome again after giving birth. They can readily do the needed activities that will help them get back in shape. However, this is not usually the case since every woman is different. And for those who have gone through delivery, getting the pre-pregnancy bod back is not an easy and quick process. Many changes happen to a mother’s body. But, there is no need to be ashamed of these transformations. It is essential for every woman to embrace the changes and not feel ugly about how pregnancy has changed them.

Be inspired by these celebrities who are not embarrassed to share their postpartum bodies. As a matter of fact, they are rocking it and are proud.

TV presenter and “The Bachelor” star Ali Manno Fedotowsky always wows us with her deep, thought-provoking Instagram captions, and we saw a lot of this after she gave birth to both of her children. She shared a shot of her “real” self, writing:

“Self love is a difficult thing to fully embrace. When I look at myself in the mirror I can’t help but notice that my hips are wider than they used to be, my wrinkles are deeper than when I was in my 20’s, and my stomach has lumps and bumps that didn’t used to be there. But then I try to remember that my hips are wider because they give birth to two beautiful children. My wrinkles are deeper because I’ve spent countless sleepless nights making sure my kiddos are cared for, fed, and loved.”

The Bachelor’s Jamie Otis proved that it’s easy to lie about your postpartum body – so don’t believe everything you see! She shared side-by-side snaps on Instagram, writing:

“6 wks postpartum!?? Photos taken a minute apart. Isn’t it amazing what sucking it in & pulling up your yoga pants does!?”

Retired professional wrestler and reality TV personality wanted to show her Instagram followers her reality after her second birth, writing:

“It’s been such a magical time✨ After giving birth it’s essential to take care of yourself so you can take care of the new love in your life too! Recovery the second time around has been so different in a good way because I was way more prepared”

Beauty influencer and blogger Sadia Slayy gave birth to her child nearly 2 years ago, and she had this to share on Instagram:“Ive decided to share this even though it makes me 100% vulnerable to all of you and your judgements. I’m here to show you that we aren’t perfect. We all have flaws, and here is one of mine. I want you to feel better about yours and not be ashamed.”

Despite her apprehension to share a photo of her postpartum body, fitness and wellness expert Hilaria Baldwin plucked up the courage to do so – and we’re so glad she did.“I took this yesterday when Leonardo was about 24 hours old. I did the same thing right after Rafael was born. It always makes me a bit nervous to do something like this, but I feel that in the age of such strong body shaming, I want to do all that I can to normalize a real body and promote healthy self esteem.”

Yes, Pink! She was quick to share what she truly thought about being “obese” post-pregnancy, writing:

“Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3″? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese. I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!”
